Jesse and Levi | Highschool Sweethearts

At our core, we are driven by the joy of being part of life's most extraordinary moments, where love reigns supreme. This month, we have the incredible privilege of celebrating the union of two souls, Jesse and Levi, whose love story has left an indelible mark on our hearts.

It is moments like these that remind us of the power of love and the immense privilege we have in being part of such cherished moments. We are grateful to Jesse and Levi for allowing us to share in their joy and honored to have played a role in creating memories that they will cherish for a lifetime. We had the chance to catch up with Jesse after their big day, here's what she had to say: 

Take us back to day one, how did your paths cross?

Our journey began in high school, where we first crossed paths. Yet, it wasn't until after we graduated that our paths intertwined, and we began to notice each other in a way that went beyond mere acquaintance. We shared mutual friends and this allowed us to embark on numerous camping trips, basking in the beauty of nature and the company of kindred spirits. It was on these trips that I had the privilege of discovering the depths of Levi's character, his passions, and his unwavering devotion to his faith.

The more I got to know Levi, the more I realized that I had found the missing piece to my puzzle. Our shared love for God, our unwavering commitment to empowering young people, and our mutual thirst for adventure were just a few of the many facets that made us a perfect match. With Levi, I can be my authentic self, free from judgment or pretense. He saw me for who I was, and at the same time inspired me to become the best version of myself. It was in his presence that I found the courage to chase my dreams, and to be the change I wanted to see in the world.

It's so heart warming to hear that you both met in high-school and share mutual friends! How did Levi pop the question? 

Levi had skillfully concealed from me the fact that he had purchased a ring and sought the blessing of my parents. For weeks, he had held onto that precious ring, waiting for the perfect moment to present it to me. Little did I know, that moment would arrive on a beautiful day in Belair National Park. As we took a leisurely drive, my heart was filled with contentment, unaware of the impending surprise that lay ahead.

As we arrived at my favorite spot, the natural beauty of the park seemed to amplify the intensity of the moment. Then with a suddenness that took my breath away, Levi dropped to one knee, his eyes shining with love and adoration. In that instant, the world stood still as he asked me the question that would forever change our lives. It was a moment of pure bliss, made all the more surreal by the fact that we were surrounded by unsuspecting strangers, unaware of the significance of the moment.

From that point on, the day was a blur of emotions, as we shared the news of our engagement with those closest to us. The joy and excitement that radiated from the faces of our loved ones mirrored the overflowing happiness that filled our hearts. It was a day that we will cherish forever, a moment that marked the beginning of a new chapter in our lives, and a testament to the power of love.

That was so sweet to read, we are in awe of the connection you both have to nature and Levi proposing at Belair National Park seems very "you".  We love that you chose such an idyllic countryside backdrop for your wedding, tell us about the location and what significance this has for the both of you? 

In a world of glitz and glamour, we were two country souls yearning for a wedding that reflected our true selves. We eschewed the trappings of traditional ceremonies, instead opting for a celebration that was unpretentious, joyful, and utterly authentic.

As we planned our special day, we knew that we wanted it to be a reflection of our love for all things country. And so, we incorporated elements that spoke to our hearts - from the twang of country music to the thrill of a mechanical bull.

Looking back, we know that we made the right choice in staying true to our roots. For in doing so, we were able to create a wedding that was more than just a ceremony - it was a testament to the power of authenticity, and a celebration of the beauty of love in all its unadorned glory.

We're all for weddings that truly encapsulate the heart and soul of the bride and groom like yours did. The bridesmaid's dresses blend in flawlessly with the setting, was this planned?

I definitely planned for the colours to all fit within my “earthy” theme. We had a lot of greens, browns and orange tones, which also happened to perfectly fit with the setting at this time of year. I loved how it all came together!

We admire how much thought and effort you put into your wedding band. Tell us about your bespoke custom made ring experience with The Classic Jewellers and how you decided on the ring design? 

It was so fun and such a seamless process designing my ring with you guys! I had a vision and you helped it come to life. You were really helpful at asking lots of questions to make sure you also understood my vision. It was also a really quick process and I didn’t have to wait long to pick up my beautiful ring!

Thank you for your kind words Jesse, give us a glimpse into your big day, your dress looked spectacular! What were the highlights for you and your husband? 

Oh gosh where do I start! We loved every moment of the day! Firstly, we loved our ceremony. We had a big church wedding and opened it up to anyone who wanted to come, which was important for us as there were a lot of people who have seen us grown up and wanted to celebrate with us. It was such a beautiful time officially becoming husband and wife and celebrating with all our loved ones. Another highlight was definitely our sunset photos. We went to a friends beautiful property that overlooked these rolling brown hills that just made the perfect backdrop. Apart from it being freezing cold in a dress at this time, the photos turned out amazing. Another highlight was definitely our choice to swap out a first dance (it’s not really our thing) for a mechanical bull riding competition! It was so so fun and everyone has the best time giving it a go while the dance floor was pumping. Just all in all an amazing day that reflected us so well.

You mentioned that you're heading to the Philippines for your honeymoon, what made you choose this destination and what are you looking forward to the most? 

As we searched for the perfect destination for our honeymoon, our hearts were set on a tropical paradise. It was during one such search that I chanced upon a series of breathtaking images on Instagram, each one more mesmerizing than the last.

I showed Levi the pictures and we both knew in an instant that the Philippines was where we were meant to be. With its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush tropical landscapes, the archipelago promised an escape like no other - a world of boundless beauty, endless possibilities, and unforgettable experiences.

As we look forward to our upcoming trip, our hearts are filled with anticipation, eager to explore all that this enchanting land has to offer. From island hopping to quiet moments of relaxation at our beautiful accommodations, we know that this honeymoon will be one that we will cherish for a lifetime.
